End of 1st Quarter

Can you believe a quarter is already gone? I look forward to visiting with all of you at parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday. Your student has prepared a portfolio to share with you so they are invited to come to the conference.

It sounds like the weather might get stormy again this week. The students sure enjoyed playing in the snow last week.

Your student should be visiting with you later this week about an activity they can present to the class. I call this their "How To" presentation.

The students enjoyed the visit from Federal Communications Chairman Wheeler and Senator Jon Tester last week on Tuesday. They were very attentive and respectful. The answers they gave were very insightful. Great job 5th graders!

I hope you all had a fun little break from school last Thursday and Friday!

Just a reminder that AR points count as part of the reading grade at report card time. You can check your student's progress through AR Home Connect. Your student can show you how to check.

First Quarter Midterm

They say time flies when you're having fun. We must be having a blast in 5th grade this year because the first quarter is zipping by. It seems like the year just started! Midterms will come home on Tuesday. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me. I am more than happy to visit with you about your child's progress.

Here are a couple of the partner person paragraphs.

Lexis is our school friend and home sister. Her favorite sport is tennis. She also plays tennis. She has an amazing sense of humor. Lexis makes people laugh when they are sad . Lexis has brown hair that shines in the light. She also has brown eyes that sparkle when she blinks. Best of all she is a friend and sister that sticks up for you.

Suzie, our title one teacher, is an important part of our school. She has reddish brownish hair that is short and curly. She has glasses that make her look very professional. Her eyes are blue and brown that sparkle like diamonds. Her smile is a mile wide. I know she has courage because she gives me courage. She is a smart, helpful teacher that makes it fun when you are with her. Suzie is an amazing teacher and if you ever meet her you will love her just the way I do.

We had great participation in homecoming last week. Many students dressed up each day and the tennis and football players rode floats in the parade. Come check out our window decorations. GO EAGLES!

Midterms will be coming out next week. I am encouraging all students to take at least one AR test before Friday.
